Free Fire India was released on 28 October 2026 as a standalone app for the App Store and Google Play, according to Garena's official announcement. This article has been updated after release and removes unsupported predictions about leaderboard resets, mandatory tournament clients and guaranteed low latency.
Start with the official download
Follow Garena's store links and check the publisher before installing. Read the requirements for your device and leave space for updates. Avoid third-party services offering account migration or access in exchange for passwords or OTPs.
Understand the safeguards before playing
The launch announcement confirms parental consent requirements for users under 18, break reminders, playtime limits and spending caps. Check the current India playtime FAQ and the notices shown in the game for the rules applicable to you.
The previous claim that restrictions reset at midnight was not verified and has been removed. We also do not claim that incorrect age entry automatically causes a shadowban. If you entered information incorrectly, use official support rather than attempting to evade verification.
Prepare your login and recovery information
Record your UID and the sign-in method linked to your existing profile. Preserve access to the old installation until you confirm that the intended account is available. Do not assume that every guest account or platform login transfers with all purchases intact.
For optional purchases, read the Free Fire listing and verify the supported edition and region. Buying through an external channel is not a way to bypass account safeguards.
Check each esports announcement separately
A game release does not establish the client, eligibility rules or dates for every tournament. Read the organizer's rules for the specific competition you want to enter. No universal leaderboard reset or launch-day rank advantage is promised here.
Is the October release date official?
Yes. Garena's linked announcement confirms 28 October 2026.
Does release guarantee better ping?
No. Test the actual connection on your device and check official service notices if you encounter problems.
